If you get an XBL message about free Microsoft Points from a friend, be wary

There's a new Xbox Live phishing scam making its way across Microsoft's service. The scam comes in the form of a message (shown below) that appears to be from someone on your friends list, which reads "M2AF everybody go to loginxbox.tk I just got 1600 MS points Hurry though!! I think it is a limited time offer."

When you actually go to the bogus site and enter your Xbox Live login information, all it does is send the same message to everyone else on your friends list. So if you've already received (or eventually receive) this message, be a pal and tell whoever sent it to you to change their XBL password pronto, as it may be compromised for whatever nefarious deeds these scammers intend.

Konami has updated Metal Gear Online with two free new gameplay modes: Team Sneaking and Headshot Only.

Team Sneaking has one team playing as invisibly and stealthy Snake-a-likes attacking an objective that the other team has to defend. As in the single-player, if the stealthy team are spotted they have to hide while an alert timer runs down.

Headshot Only does exactly what it says on the tin.

Update: It would appear that the Metal Gear Online content is coming thick and fast, there is a new "GENE" expansion pack slated for a July 17th release (available via the MGO shop) boasting another new game mode called Survival, an extra character slot, 2 new characters (Meryl and Akiba) and 3 new maps, Coppertown Conflict/City of Sorrow, Tomb of Tubes/Underground Waterway and Virtuos Vista/South American Power Station. Also in this expansion pack comes the reward shop which with allow you to exchange reward points for accessories. For more details see the Metal Gear Online Official Web Site.
